"We consulted Silva Construction and several other local contractors to bid on a complete remodel of our Redondo Beach home. We were almost doubling the size of our home by adding a 2nd story. Our main concerns were cost and quality and we emphasized in all of our contractor meetings that going over budget or time frame was not an option for us since we were not financially able to spend more money or time than agreed upon. Silva Construction won our business because of their professionalism, attention to detail, extremely detailed bid, and brilliant customer service. Their bid wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive, but it was the most detailed and they followed up the bid with several calls and meetings to clarify materials, time frames, budget, and expectations.

Before we signed a contract with Silva we called nearly every reference that they gave us, almost 15 calls, and to our surprise, we had no negative feedback. As a mortgage broker that worked with several contractors, developers, and construction projects, even the best projects have problems with contractors. What set Silva apart was how they handled the problems with hands on service and working with the homeowners daily throughout the project. We even drove several of the references finished projects to examine Silva's work and it was top notch!

Our time frame was 9 months from start to finish. Silva called us weekly, or more, to give us updates on the progress of our construction. We visited the site two to three times a week to make sure everything was going according to plan and the job foreman was always eager to answer our questions and show us the progress they were making. They would often follow up with us on materials needed and pricing as well as updating us on where we could save money with materials. They also helped us avoid some mistakes with space planning and design flow. Every Silva team member was easy to work with, honest, and took pride in their work.

Our construction project was completed 3 weeks early which saved us thousand's of dollars in housing costs and got us back into our home in time for summer vacation. Silva over delivered on their promises and were extremely friendly to work with. We have referred Silva Construction to all of our friends and they have done work for five different people that we recommended them to. We will continue to refer everyone we know to them because of the great job they did for us."
