Do you want to update the look of your home on a budget?
A simple way of updating the interior of your home is to change your moldings (base and crown) or even adding a wainscot.

Most homes come with a 2 inch baseboard but by replacing it with a 5 inch baseboard you get an entirely different look. You can also completely change the feel by adding crown molding (again I would recommend using 5 inch molding for the best impact). If you like the Cape Cod, Cottage or Vintage look go for wainscot. I like the idea of having nice white bead board topped off with a 3 inch piece of molding. The best height would be 42 inches off the floor. All of these ideas are very affordable and quick to do. I would recommend an easy update like this before the Holidays.
