Updating Your Work Place…Happy Employees Equal Happy Customers

Silva Construction over the years has updated many “Commercial Offices”. One of my favorite things to do for a business is to make updates designed for their staff. This does not have to be incredibly expensive. There are simple changes like adding more natural light. You can replace small windows with larger ones, add skylights or sky tubes or even just upgrade outdated lighting.
Adding an employee break room with an area to eat can be huge for your staff. No one likes to eat at their desk. Taking that idea one step further is adding a kitchen. Give your staff a place to have healthy meals. By doing this you will cut down on fast food runs. Healthy staff equals happy staff.
Updating flooring and paint colors can also go a long way for an upbeat work place. One of my favorite jobs we updated was for a non-profit company (pictured below).
